HIA youthBuild brings together industry leaders to drive an innovative “work at school” program based on strong partnerships between schools, industry, business, and local communities.
The program helps schools deliver a structured learning program and supports hands-on projects that give students exciting opportunities to explore the building industry. Students can take part in real work experiences while still at school, gaining skills and confidence that prepare them for future careers in construction.
HIA youthBuild is a future-focused, industry-aligned program supported by the Tasmanian Government. As part of our funding agreement, HIA is required to report on the program’s goals and outcomes.
To support this, participating schools are asked to document their build process and submit a final report outlining student learning outcomes. This helps us validate the impact of the program and meet reporting requirements.
